Is a three minute "Short" the only option we have?

Definitely not! At Business Shorts we work hard to provide our customers with options to meet a variety of business needs and budgets. Regardless of your budget, we'll work hard to HELP YOU GENERATE MORE SALES!

Looking to start small by simply replacing some of your dry homepage text with an engaging intro animation? No problem. Or maybe you need to create an extensive, highly interactive guided tour complete with direct response lead-capture? Whatever the case, we'd be honored to help!

How long will it take to complete my project?

For a "Classic" 3:00 Short with real time lead capture, from the time we receive the signed agreement and 50% project deposit, we will complete your project within six weeks. This of course assumes our clients stay on schedule with us by providing prompt feedback and meeting all project milestones.

For shorter solutions like a homepage animation or a Business Short "Light" movie, the time required is less. For longer and more complex guided tours, the time required is longer.

What if I need my project completed in faster than the standard timeframe?

If our current development queue allows, we can commit to completing your project faster than the standard timeframe. Because we are re-aligning project resources and priorities, a project expedite fee would apply.

What role do I need to play during the movie creation process, and how much of my time will be required?

In order for your Business Short to deliver results, we'll definitely need to leverage your expertise or the expertise of someone on your team. No one knows your product and its benefits like you. Having said that, we’ll do 95% of the "heavy lifting." Early in the process, we ask our clients to complete brief "Scripting and Visual Direction Questionnaires" and participate in a 45-minute conference call. Then, at 2-3 intervals throughout the project, we’ll provide you with our work, and ask for your feedback.

How much does it cost?

As mentioned, you have a variety of options, with each having its own unique pricing. Generally speaking, the fees can range from $1,500 (for a slick intro animation)... all the way up to $12,000 for lengthy, complex, and interactive product walk-throughs or training programs.

Once my movie is complete, do I need to go back to Business Shorts in order to make changes?

Nope. When your Business Short is complete, we will provide you with the original source code. This gives you 100% freedom to edit and update your Short as needed over the years. For those clients without Flash programming, graphics, and/or audio expertise (or just simply no time to deal with it), we are here to support you over the long haul. In these cases, we work with you to get a sense for the scope and complexity of the needed changes, then prior to work starting, we'll provide you with a FIXED rate for completing all the work (A quick aside - beware of companies that will only quote you an hourly programming rate)

Can my Short be seen by 100% of the people who try to view it?

All Business Shorts are developed in Adobe Flash, the most widely recognized and supported product of its kind. In fact, the software needed to play Flash movies has been a pre-installed component of most browsers since 2005, and it’s the programming behind almost all the animation you see online today. However, there will most likely always be some small minority (less than 2%) of the population that won’t be able to view your movie because of the unique configuration of their computer.

When someone clicks on a link to my Short, how long will it take to load?

Business Shorts goes to great pains to ensure your movie loads quickly. We accomplish this through very efficient file compression. On average, a 3-minute Business Short will take 3-8 seconds to begin playing on your prospect’s desktop, while a homepage animation or Business Short "Light" load almost instantly. Of course this all depends on your prospects connection speed.

Can my movie be translated into foreign languages?

Yes, we have the capability to handle both the translation and audio production in foreign languages.

Can Business Shorts produce a more elaborate Flash tour of demo of my company’s products?

You bet! For all the same reasons a Business Short is successful, more detailed product tours can be a highly effective means in 1) showing your product in the absolute best possible light, and 2) reducing your sales cycle time because prospects can access your demo "on demand." These product tours are especially effective when linked to online pay-per-click advertising like Google Adwords.
